ScienceStar ("we", "our", "us") operates the website primayscience.org. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially children. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. Please read it carefully.

1. About This Site

ScienceStar is a free educational platform providing Singapore Primary Science revision materials for students in Primary 3 through PSLE (ages 9–12), their parents, and teachers. The site offers quizzes, flashcards, study notes, and diagrams aligned to the MOE 2026 Science syllabus.

2. Information We Collect

ScienceStar is designed to operate without collecting personal information. Specifically:

• We do not require any registration, login, or account creation.
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
• Quiz scores, XP points, and progress data are stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
• We do not operate any servers that store user data.

3. Children's Privacy

ScienceStar is used primarily by children aged 9–12, together with their parents and teachers. We take children's privacy very seriously and comply with applicable child privacy laws including Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

• We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children under 13.
• We do not allow children to create accounts or submit personal information.
• All advertising served on this site is configured as non-personalised, meaning ads are not targeted based on individual user behaviour or personal data.
• If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has inadvertently provided personal data to us, please contact us at hello@primayscience.org and we will take immediate steps to address the matter.

4. Google AdSense and Advertising

ScienceStar displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. These advertisements help us keep the site free for all students. Important details about our advertising:

• All ads are served as non-personalised ads (NPA). This means Google does not use your browsing history or personal profile to select ads.
• Google AdSense may use cookies solely for the purposes of ad frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and fraud and abuse detection.
• No behavioural profiling, interest-based targeting, or remarketing is applied to users of this site.
• Google's advertising practices are governed by the Google Advertising Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

ScienceStar itself does not set any cookies. However, Google AdSense may place cookies on your device for the limited purposes described above. You have the following options regarding cookies:

• You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
• Browsing in your browser's private or incognito mode will prevent cookies from being saved after your session ends.

6. Third-Party Services

ScienceStar uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

We do not use any analytics services (such as Google Analytics) and do not track user behaviour on this site.

7. Data Retention

Since ScienceStar does not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to retain or delete. Any quiz progress data stored in your browser's localStorage can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data or localStorage.

8. Your Rights

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

• Request access to any personal data we hold about you (we hold none).
• Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data.

Although we do not collect personal data, we take reasonable precautions to ensure the security of our website. The site is served over HTTPS and we do not operate databases containing user information.
